Is Anyone Actually There?

This is kind of bit depressing. Are we this scared of people now that we panic when we actually do talk to them? Granted, we don’t go this far, but maybe, because of the easier time that technology is giving us now, we abuse it that by the time we actually face people, we actually get more nervous than when we’re sending them messages via text, email, or instant messengers?

I’m not saying that technology is bad. Not at all. I’m just saying, maybe we’re using it too much that we’re slowly cutting our ties to other people, or at least dull them. It’s not as personal anymore, so that when we actually encounter them face-to-face, it’s a bit like information overload.

We need to reach out more, I guess.

That’s sad. Technology can either bring people together or drive them apart.

THAT IS SAD

I agree, sans capslock. It doesn’t seem weird to me as I’ve always had a phobia of new places and people, but it’s still saddening to see that the technology that’s ‘freeing’ us is making more people like me. On the other hand though, some of my closest friends of six years have been entirely online, so it’s not all bad. Still some human interaction out here.

It is sad..
