Sometimes, I think that I’m too hooked on the Internet, which is funny, because I actually was, am, an outdoors person. I like nature, being surrounded by trees. I love hiking. The thing is, I haven’t done so for the longest time. Instead, my tours are limited to, well, the cyberspace.
I think that’s why people nowadays aren’t really that bonded with each other. Instead of taking the time to meet up with friends and family, we’d think, “Hey, I’ll just call/text/email/IM/send an online message.” Based on the number of slashes I’ve put there, there are a lot of options we can choose to contact people - instead of actually meeting them face-to-face. It’s sad, really.
Maybe I should go and literally stop and smell the roses.
