So what is affiliate marketing?

Millionaires are being made everyday with this new craze on internet, and now everyday people are starting to discover the huge opportunity online.

Believe it or not affiliate marketing has been around since the beginning of the internet. Companies like Amazon.com used it to build a multi-million dollar business and huge sales force that they never pay unless they make sales first.

Essentially the way it works is that you will recommend or advertise a product for a product owner or company to an end user, or buyer. The person you are advertising for will have an affiliate program and some method of tracking ID. This tracking ID is recorded automatically to make sure that when someone buys a product they get there predetermined percentage.

Many of the vendors will even pay you a higher percentage than they make. And you just get to collect checks.

The reason this industry is gaining momentum so fast and becoming the ideal business for net savvy entrepreneurs is because of the type of lifestyle it affords you. Freedom of time, theoretically freedom of money and no customer service or physical products to deliver; no, the product vendor takes care of all of that for you.

Ok, so why isn’t everybody doing this.

I can assure you many people are… some succeed and some fail.

As in any business success comes through due diligence and the key points that new affiliates miss out on is

#1 learning from the right people

#2 Sticking with it until it clicks and “the code is cracked”

The thing to realize is that affiliate marketing is still a business and at the beginning there is groundwork to be laid. Every good business requires a good plan.
