I can answer this question for you right now: the answer is ‘yes’. In fact, the answer is ‘YES!’ - the biggest yes you’ve ever heard. Of the course the customer is always right. If you want to be a successful eBay seller, you should go miles out of your way to make sure every single one of your customers is 100% satisfied, however much time or money it might cost you.

A dissatisfied customer will leave negative feedback, and negative feedback is to be avoided at all costs. That one piece of negative feedback will always cost you more than it would have to deal with the complaint, whatever the value of the items you sell. You should consider any positive feedback percentage under 100% to be an absolute disaster, and a personal failure on your part.

But What If…

But nothing! There is no situation where you, as a seller, should get into any dispute with a buyer. Here are a few common situations and how to handle them.

They say the item never arrived: Politely ask the buyer to wait a few more days to see if it turns up, and then email you again if it still hasn’t arrived. If it still hasn’t arrived, you should assume it was lost in the post somehow and offer to send a replacement if you have one, or give them a full refund otherwise. No, I don’t care what that costs you. Are you serious about selling on eBay or not?

The item has been damaged in the post: You must offer to replace it or take it back for a refund without hesitation.

They say the item doesn’t match the description: Resist the urge to email back with “yes it does, you just didn’t read the description properly”. Take the item back for a refund, and edit your description if you need to, to make any confusing points extra clear.

I’m sure you’re spotting a pattern by now. Offering a refund will make almost any problem go away, and it really will cost you less in the long run. Remember, one piece of negative feedback will stay with you forever, while having a 100% positive rating is like owning a bar of solid gold.

You should always handle customers’ complaints before they complain to eBay - in fact, you should email them pre-emptively to ask if they have any. Going through the dispute process is time consuming, reflects badly on you and is downright unnecessary.

Are you still not convinced? Think this would only work with cheap items? Well, you see, the higher the price of the items you sell, the more your reputation is worth to you. Let’s say you were selling $10,000 worth of items each week, for example, and making a $1,000 profit per week overall. You might think that refunding one customer’s $1,000 purchase would be a tragedy, losing you your whole week’s profit. It’s far better to look at it this way: if you don’t give that refund, then not only will you lose the next week’s profit, but you’ll probably lose a few weeks’ profit after that too. Now which option looks better?

I absolutely can’t emphasise enough the importance of really believing that the customer is always right. But trying to make excuses for complaints isn’t the only thing you need to avoid. There are a lot of pitfalls that you need to avoid if you don’t want to kill your business before it’s even started properly - and I’ll show you in the next email what they are.

It’s surprisingly easy to kill your eBay business, if you’re not careful - sure, you can start over from scratch without it costing you anything, but do you really want to? Still, if you want your business to end up dead in the water, here are some simple ways to do it.

Lie about an item: Say it works fine when it sometimes doesn’t work. Say it’s in perfect condition when it has a scratch. Your customers will hate you!

Post whenever you feel like it: Make sure to leave your customers hanging around, wondering when their item is going to turn up. This makes sure they buy from someone else next time.

Let items end anytime: Few people will be around to care about your auction if it ends in the middle of the night. Why go to the trouble of working out whether auctions will end at a good time?

Don’t bother with email: Customers are just timewasters anyway. eBay businesses are supposed to run themselves! Never give informed responses to questions about your item.

Sell rubbish: Really, it’s just eBay. You can just sell any old tat from the market for a 200% profit. Let quality be someone else’s concern - I mean, really, what do they expect for that price?

Refuse to give discounts: You know what your items cost, you know what your profit margin is going to be, and you’re not going to negotiate. Remember that giving customers special deals might make them feel good and come back to you again.

Make your listings ugly: As many colours, flashing lights and animations as possible will really give those customers a headache. Write as much in CAPITALS!!!! as you can. Preferably big, red capitals. Be sure to use the fonts Impact and Comic Sans. For an extra special touch, see if you can figure out a way to add some music.

Don’t take photos: It’s such trouble, after all. If buyers are picky enough to actually want to see items before they bid on them, then screw ‘em, that’s what I say.

Write short descriptions: Be as brief as possible, and use lots of mysterious abbreviations. This obviously makes you look very cool. You can even just write the title again in the description box. Think of the effort you’ll save!

Use reserve auctions: Now, this is a fairly controversial final choice, but it really is one of the best ways to scare away your customers. They’ll see ‘reserve not yet met’, and click that ‘back’ button before you know it. Luckily, they can always bid in a normal auction for the item somewhere else.

Now that you know the ten ways to kill your eBay business, how about we explore what to do if you want to do the opposite, and make a success of it? The next email will give you ten steps to successful selling on eBay.

There is a big difference between a blog search engine and a blog directory. I know most of you reading this have experienced using both but for those new blogging boomers I thought this explanation might be helpful.

A blog search engine’s main focuses on finding blog entries that match specific keywords and blog entries that link to whatever website addresses are entered by the person doing a search. Search engines use spiders and bots to get Web pages and software programs to get listings indexed. However, blog directories are predominately run and maintained by human beings.

“Now wait a minute”, someone is saying, “what in the world is a “bot” and “spider?” Well, I am glad you asked. The Wikipedia definition of a bot is: Internet bots, also known as web robots, WWW robots or simply bots, are software applications that run automated tasks over the Internet. Typically, bots perform tasks that are both simple and structurally repetitive, at a much higher rate than would be possible for a human editor alone. The largest use of bots is in web spidering in which an automated script fetches, analyses and files information from web servers at many times the speed of a human. Each server can have a file called robots.txt, containing rules for the spidering of that server that the bot is supposed to obey.

In addition to their uses outlined above, bots may also be implemented where a response speed faster than that of humans is required (e.g., gaming bots and auction-site robots) or less commonly in situations where the emulation of human activity is required, for example chat bots. Special note: If you host your blog yourself many of the hosts will provide a statistical breakdown of traffic to your blog that includes the activity of those spiders and robots traveling around your site.

Now let’s go back to blog directories and blog search engines. It is important to note that blog search engines have huge databases. Whereas, blog directories do not have such a huge database. Special note: Some of the blog directories like Dmoz.org use human editors to help index the blogs submitted. If you are a boomer blogger with editing skills this is a great opportunity. Usually the sites will have a place for you to make inquiries.

If would probably help if I share some examples of blog search engines and directories. Many of you have probably heard the names. If I said blogcatalog, blogwise or bloggernity do they sound familiar? Well they are all blog directories. Of course I am only scratching the surface. There are lots of them. If would probably help if I share some examples of blog search engines and directories. Many of you have probably heard the names. If I said blogcatalog, blogwise or bloggernity do they sound familiar? Well they are all blog directories. Of course I am only scratching the surface. There are lots of them.

Examples of blog search engines are Google’s Blogsearch and BlogSearchEngine. But once again there are others worthy of exploration. Well, I hope that helps it sure helps me to share it with you.

If you blog, you might already know your blog can be a great tool for getting your message and name out there in cyberspace. Many bloggers are writers and many wannabe writers are now blogging to help get a message out, get their name out or earn money through blogging.

As a freelance writer, I’ve found blogging to be beneficial for me from an income perspective as well as for self promotion for my writing services. If you want to be among the elite group of successful bloggers who earn a full time living blogging you can use the old adage of dressing for the blog you want instead of the blog you have.

    Blog Design Tips

-Make it look nice. Play with colours and graphics and make it look appealing so people will be drawn to stop and look if they land there. Even a free Blogger blog can look very professional.

-Diversify your income. Beyond Google Adsense ads, add some affiliate marketing banners, contextual links or referrals too. You can also do paid posting too but try to stick to the theme of your blog and keep it to a minimum.

-Add a blog roll. Share some love with fellow writers and they will probably do the same. You can also add your other sites to your blog roll and share some link love with yourself.

-Widgets! Gotta love widgets. They’re neat and can be unique and dress up a blog. Some are functional and others that just dress up the site and make it look nice.

-Regular content. If you only update it once a month, you’ll be lucky if you get a few readers. Update regularly to ensure people come back because they know they’ll find something new.

-Don’t overdo it on the paid posts. Don’t fill all your blogs with these as too much can hurt your readership. People don’t want to come ‘just’ for ads. Try to respect your niche as much as possible.

-That brings us to the ‘find a niche’ advice. The only way you can develop a following and subscribers will add up is to find a category for your blog so people can find you.

-Tag, Ping and social bookmark. Spend some time doing these things and your readership will rise and your CTR % will too!

-Plug your blog! Put your blog url in your signature line for forums and for when you comment on other people’s blogs. This will help more people find you and help your Google page rank.

-Read and comment on other blogs in your category. This can bring you links and more readers.

-Blog Catalog and MyBlogLog. Use both of these as they can be an excellent marketing tool and can help you with categorizing, indexing and site statistics (mybloglog is especially helpful for learning who’s visiting your site).

-Polls, pictures, scrolls, banners…you can find many online for free or small fee that can help dress up your blog too.

Spend a few minutes every day or an hour every week promoting your blog and in no time, you’ll see a difference in your readership, traffic levels, SEO and potential earning opportunities. The right design and a great readership could result in income and opportunities pouring in for you.

More practical blogging tips are available over at Blogging Mix. Here are the latest posts at Blogging Mix.

Did you know that you can make money online writing blogs? Yes it is true and some have even made up to six figures a month. It doesn’t necessarily mean you can do it nor does it mean you cannot do it for it simply depends on your attitude. Creating a blog is the easiest thing on earth. Within a matter of few minutes you can create a blog in blogpsot. But the challenge lies in continuously working on it, spending time in getting content through articles, latest updates in your field and posting new information for the readers. Here are a few tips to make money by writing blogs.

    1. Identify your niche: I have said this in my previous articles and I am again repeating it here. It is very important for you to identify your niche and have a strong passion for it. Unless you have a strong interest, you will have no momentum in updating your blog. First find out if your niche has a market and if it has, do research on the specifics of the niche. Here are some fields that are doing well in today’s market

    - Health and fitness
    - Beauty and skincare
    - Affiliate Marketing
    - Insurance and Finance

    2. Passion and Interest count more than expertise: Do not worry if you are not an expert in your area of interest. What you need is a strong passion and interest which will eventually make you an expert. Don’t expect immediate results, give it some time and you will find money trickling, even though initially it may be in small amounts. You can start out by reading articles in ezinearticles, goarticle and articlecity and use the same articles that you thought were most useful giving full credit to the original author and specifying the relevant details in your blog. Then start writing your own articles and post your blog link at the end of article. This is the first step towards generating quality traffic.

    3. Google Adsense: Place google adsense on your blogs. This is another way of generating revenue. Avoid going for Google Adsense banners as research has shown that they are consistently overlooked by the viewers. Make sure that you ad blends well with your blog layout. Match the title color of the ad with the color of your text in blog and use very light colors for the content and url so that the Ad title stands out. Don’t clutter your ads at the top of the page and expect the reader to scroll down to read the content. The first one third of the page is very precious for the reader, so it is always better to let the content take preference to ads.

    4. Advertise your blog to friends and relevant networks: A good way to advertise your blog may be to simply send an email with your blog link to your friends and colleagues. Another way would be to use your bloglink as a default signature in forum postings. Make sure that your postings are valuable in those respective blogs or else you will just be one more spammer. Write articles on squidoo and hub pages and generate traffic to your blog.

    5. Affiliate Marketing: Add affiliate links to the products that you choose to promote. Be careful of the products you promote because you want to make sure that you are selling genuine products and don’t fall for the get rich trap. What goes around comes around is the saying. Never resort to unethical affiliate marketing, because it is never good for the business. Always put yourself in the shoes of the buyer and think once, twice, thrice before selling or promoting a product.

Before I sign off, here is my offer. I am willing to personally mentor the first 25 people who need guidance in Affiliate Marketing, free of cost. To take advantage of this offer, simply visit my blog and post your comment on any section that you like.

Here are  some simple blogging tips that will help you get started on your blog and make money online. Good luck!

Currently, there are over 70 million ongoing attempts to make money blogging. That means there’s obviously something to this whole Blogging Bonanza, but it also means there is a lot of competition out there.

The great thing about trying your hand at creating a successful and profitable blog is that there is little to no risk and very low startup costs involved.

For example, a domain name (which you probably already have) can be had for $5 to $10. Hosting (a place to “house” your website, like buying a lot for your store or shop) also runs between $5 and $10 (per month) for more than enough space required for a new blog.

    Pick a Platform

Once you have your domain name and website hosting set up, it’s time to choose your blogging platform. There are several websites that offer you easy to use tools and information to get your blog up and running as quickly as possible.

The most popular, and my personal favorite, is WordPress. Not only do they offer quick set up and easy to understand instructions, but there are literally hundreds of useful plugins and tools, and it’s all completely free.

Some other well-known platforms to consider are Blogger, TypePad, and MovableType.

    What Next?

Now that you’ve chosen a platform and have everything up and running with your desired hosting service, the next logical step is, of course, to “blog.”

Whatever topic or niche you are most passionate about is what you should focus your blog around. You don’t have to be an absolute expert right away, but if you are truly interested in your own content, then you will begin to attract regular visitors and traffic.

That very same traffic is what’s going to help you make money blogging, so that’s you’re first goal: Build a large and dedicated readership.

    Making Money With MLM

In every MLM program, there are inevitably those who profit more than others. These elite few are also those most often identified to such programs. They drive fancy cars, live in large mansions, and cash in massive commission checks every month. They are also the ones most often called upon to speak at the MLM gatherings.

In contrast, there are also those who never seem to get anywhere with their programs. They work hard enough, but their work just does not seem to translate to real results. This is because they are missing a key ingredient: technology.

In recent years, multi level marketing has gone high tech. Some of the most successful companies in recent memory, were those that introduced cell phones or internet based products in to the MLM mix. However, the contribution of the technology seems to have stopped there for some members, to their detriment. They simply have not been able to tap into what is available.

If you wish to make it big in the marketing world, you must learn to do a few things very well. One, you must learn how to sell the largest number of your products to the largest number of possible people. Two, you must learn to attract and utilize skilled people that can help you grow your marketing venture. Both blogging tips and skills are certainly attainable using conventional methods but technology would make them far easier to master.

The big secret to making money from multi level marketing is to learn how to use technology to your advantage. At the top of the technology list is the internet, which is the centerpiece of the new world economy. As we go deeper and deeper into the new millennium, expect the internet to grow at exponential rates and for internet business to become more and more successful. As the global market made possible by the internet consolidates, more and more financial opportunities will come up.

The growth of the internet is there for you to take advantage of, and if you are really serious about making it big in the MLM game, you will not ignore it. Embrace technology as it comes and learn to utilize it to suit your ends. There are various ways you can do this. You can start selling web based products, place ads for partners, write a newsletter, create a content website, all things that you can do as part of a multi level marketing program. Additionally, recruiting and related activities can be facilitated by the instant communication made possible by the worldwide web.

By taking advantage of todays high powered technology, you will put yourself on the fast track to MLM success.

Seiko is one of the world’s leaders in the watch industry. They are a large corporation with various brand names. Seiko is the manufacturer behind the new kinetic technology which has revolutionized the watch wearing experience. Kinetic technology is the brains of hard work at Seiko and is a feature on new watches made by the brands of the Seiko corporation. This technology is hard to duplicate which means Seiko is the leader and top producer of this technology.

Kinetic watches were first introduce by Seiko in 1988, but they did not start using the name kinetic until 1992. Developing the kinetic technology was not an easy task. It took six years and plenty of troubleshooting to finalize the kinetic technology for use in watches. Early issues including problems with protecting the rotor from shock, keeping electricity stored and stabilizing the electric flow. Once past these issues kinetic energy was revealed to the world and has been going strong ever since.

A kinetic watch needs no battery because the kinetic technology makes it create its own energy. By using the motion of the watch wearer, the watch powers itself and stores the energy for use later. It is as accurate as a battery powered watch without the hassles of having to change a battery. Even if the power supply of the kinetic watch is depleted there is no need to open up the watch or do anything to it except simply putting it on and moving it around so it can recharge.

People have loved the blogging tips idea and kinetic watches are big sellers for Seiko. There are three major advantages that a person will find with a kinetic watch. These watches are very convenient and easy to care for. They never need to be opened to have a battery replaced. This also cuts down on repairs needs as dust can not get into the watch causing damage and the water seal is kept in tact. Regular watch batteries are hard to dispose of and not too great for the environment. Kinetic watches do not use these batteries so hey are more environmentally friendly than a battery operated watch. There are other non-battery powered watches but these watches require an energy source like light or the sun. With a kinetic watch there is no need for external energy as the wearer powers up the watch themselves. These three big advantages are part of the reason people love genetic watches.

Seiko kinetic watches are truly revolutionary. This technology is so far ahead of the competition that it just proves how advanced and focused the Seiko corporation is about making high quality, cutting edge watches. Kinetic watches are the future of the watch industry.
